haha It really wasn't nearly as nerve racking as sanding the clearcoat off the emblems while trying not to scratch the chrome borders. After a couple weeks of the muffler hack, it's starting to sound a little too loud. Guess I'm getting too old!

ordered it custom, then had the wheels powdercoated & windows blacked out. I painted the badges black and sawzalled the mufflers off it. It's a beast!

they're still pretty expensive, especially when you use them like these guys use them. Just look at that 300mm, he obviously doesn't plan to ever sell that, it's pretty worked, although I'm sure the optics are still perfect.

The Bottlerocket is my go to bike, and has been for several years now. With the stock spec of a 160mm fork, it's a pretty versatile machine, but with a 180mm fork, I feel like it can handle anything, and so far it can. I'm not riding the Rampage course or anything, but I think it could take whatever you throw at it. Short travel is funner! I don't notice the short travel rear end on big stuff because the suspension is progressive enough that the bike doesn't blow through the travel all at once. I think alot of people (dh racers excluded) run a bike with too much travel and would be better off with a bike that can maneuver more quickly.

Strictly Dakine. Just got a Reload pack and damn, it's the ticket. More room and better padding, carries the weight similar to the Sequence, and it has a waterproof cover and zipper seals. Pretty big though. For shooting while riding the Sequence is still the best. |
